Wisconsin DOC VINELink

For information regarding the location of offenders under the custody or supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, click on Anyone can search online to view the status and location of an offender. However, it is not possible to register for notification via the VINELink Web site as you can with offenders in the county jail. Crime victims can register with the Department's Office of Victim Services and Program to receive notification via U.S. Mail or a confidential message center for certain types of offender status changes such as release, end of supervision, and more. If you are a crime victim and would like to receive notification about your offender, please contact your county Victim Witness office or call the DOC Office of Victim Services and Programs at 1-800-947-5777. Contact information for county victim witness offices, as well as other helpful services for crime victims/survivors can be accessed online at

Wisconsin VINE, Victim Information and Notification Everyday, has been providing crime victims with peace of mind for over a decade. In 1997, Wisconsin became the second state in the nation to offer crime victims the ability to access inmate information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In 2003, Wisconsin VINE was expanded to include, VOICE for Victims, a Web site providing online access to information and online notification. In 2005, VINE and VOICE were expanded further to include information about offenders on community supervision and even more notification options for crime victims.

Information about offenders who are required to register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry is available online at or by calling 1-800-398-2403.

The Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System (ICOTS) Public Web Portal allows the public to search for information about offenders who have transferred supervision (probation or parole) to another state. Click on the link to access the ICOTS Public Web Portal and search for an offender. Only offenders that have completed the transfer process to another state will be displayed in search results. Offenders on supervision in the state where they were convicted are not included in this tracking database.
